Bronchoscopy done. Tried clearing as much as they could out of lungs, but Seth didn’t like it so couldn’t clear completely. But got enough to sample and test; won’t get results for a couple days.
More often than not, people on ECMO are started on IV blood thinners earlier so machine can work properly and give the best oxygen. But with Seth’s brain injury, that was in question. The machine level was a bit lower than yesterday so neuro deemed it ok to do CT.
If CT looks good, they’ll start on IV Heparin. Based on discussion w/ neuro team, they can start on low dose and go from there.
Waiting for radiologist to determine results of CT scan
No clots shown on ultrasound (yay)
Specific prayer: Good CT scan, that antibiotics keep working hard, healing lungs!
Pix is of the sunset tonight while eating outside the cafeteria. God shows his beautiful creation even in the midst of despair.

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
3 he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
for his name’s sake.
4 Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,[a]
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
